SAT Essays

It's odd: some sources claim that the SAT prefers the standard essay format, while others state that the SAT prefers free-form essays. So I was wondering which type of essay would be preferred for the SATs.

Standard:
[ul]Introduction[/ul][ul]Example 1 [ex. George Washington][/ul][ul]Example 2 [ex. Don Quixote][/ul][ul]Example 3 [ex. Thomas Jefferson][/ul][ul]Conclusion[/ul]

Freeform:
[ul]Introduction[/ul][ul]Stuff about a source/example & how this relates to topic [ex. Jane Eyre][/ul][ul]More about topic & its involvement [ex. Jane Eyre again][/ul][ul]More about a topic & its involvement [ex. Jane Eyre again][/ul][ul]Conclusion[/ul]

Since there isn’t any prescribed format, write whichever one you would like to read if it hadn’t been written by you.

I think i would like format 1-standard. Lot of variety and also provides you with a larger playing field to express more of your ideas.
