SAT for transfers

I am an international student in US planning to apply as a transfer to MIT for fall 07. My scores:
SAT Reasoning: CR 580, M 780, W 760
SAT Subject: ML2 800, Physics 790

I expect 4.00 and I am in the honors program of my state university. Do you think my CR is low and hence I should retake the SAT or the SAT matters less for transfers? Any transfers here or anyone with the rough idea. Thanks in advance.

you should definitely retake the critical reading- a 580 is not going to cut it. gpa is also very important for transfer admissions-so you're safe there.

Thanks fuzzy...ah! from India...we are neighbors.
My univ has testing services for ACT...how are they considered ACT and SAT, any idea...ACT is cheaper as well :)

on the mit admissions blogs, ben(maybe it was matt) mentioned that ACT scores are converted to equivalent SAT scores.
