SAT format, timing/breaks

im going to take a full sat tommorow as if it were the real thing for practice/get my stamina up. are there breaks at any point between sections? or is it once ur done with one you immediately go to the next section?

I don't remember exactly how the real SAT goes (it's been a while), but at the SAT prep center where I work, the sections are administered one after another, with a ten-or-so minute break after section four (though we don't include the experimental section, so you may want to leave this for after section five?).

thanks a lot

you usually get 5 min break after first 3 sections, then a 2 min break after 7 and then finish up. sounds brutal but its the truth. u should ask ppl who took it at place where ur going to take it how it works there

I think it's like this:

Sec 1-Essay
2 minute break
Sec 2
Sec 3
5 minute break
Sec 4
Sec 5
Sec 6
2 minute break
Sec 7
Sec 8
Sec 9

It's killer, especially after Sec. 6. Those last 3 sections you just wanna give up.

For the January SAT, I got 2 5-minute breaks and 1 or 2 2-minute breaks.

i cant wait....
