SAT frenzy. Help me workout a plan please.

I was totally absent minded about the SATs my freshmen through early junior year. Now I have to take them all before November 2008.
I took two subject tests yesterday (chem and math II; chem was bad) I'm going to take SAT I in june.
I plan to take either SAT I or SAT IIs (chem and physics) in August, just in time for early applications, depending on how I do on the SAT in June (probably not good).
I want to retake the SAT in August and then take subject tests chem and physics in November, but someone told me that the tests take in november would be too late and colleges won't accept the new scores.

Help me with making a plan for this.

Unless they changed it, I don't think there's an August test date. The only ones in the fall are October and November.

Woah woah woah. If you're applying regular decision, you can still take the SATs in November and the colleges will get them on time. On many college websites I visited, they advised that the latest SAT be taken in November to guarantee that the scores arrived on time. Some even said December but warned that on a rare occasion they wouldn't get the scores by the deadline.

Edit: JK. just saw you're applying ED. You'll just have to study a little harder for your june SAT.

khrushchevtm - the OP made a previous thread stating they were applying EA/ED

yep I caught that. a tad bit after I originally posted.

As other posters have said, there aren't test days in August and September; the earliest is in October, and those scores will be released in time for EA/ED. Additionally, some EA/ED schools will accept November scores, so that might be something to look into (try to get it done before Nov though, to minimize stress =)

wow, i am in the same boat as you. I thought i had 2 more SAT dates, but now i realized i only have one in october ( i want to apply ED as well). I have to use the June date for my SAT II's. I'm gonna take the ACT in September to see if i can get a high score on that and not have to worry about raising my SAT score.

that brings me to another question.

Does the SAT look much better than the ACT? Say a 2200 compared with a 34 or something.

Get some books and start studying. If done diligently they can help a lot.
