Hi everyone, so i am struggling, I am in 12th grade and I have been taking german really actively till the 9th grade i forgot a lot of it, but i was thinking about taking 3 month very intensive course and then taking sat II german if any of you have taken it do you think is it worth it or I am just gonna waste my time? any ideas about the test itself?
The problem with the foreign language SAT II’s is that many native speaker take it, so the averages are pretty damn high (around 650!!)
I personally have taken French for 5 years, did a language stay in France and passed a French diploma on a B2 level, and yet I had trouble taking the French Subject Test… I should have broaden my vocabulary tremendously beforehand.
If I were you, I’d take a practice test and see what score you’d get at this moment. Then you can decide for yourself if it’s worth preparing for it, or if it’s impossible to do well.
I don’t want to discourage you, but you really should have a broad vocabulary to do well on the foreign language subject tests.
