SAT Grid in Question

Hi,
I just had a quick question about SAT grid ins.
Is it considered acceptable for a question where the answer is 7/10 to grid in 0.7?
Obviously 7/10 is considered ok but I was just wondering if the decimal with the 0 is considered ok because I usually solve my work in decimals. This is really bothering me guys so I would appreciate if someone could give me an answer. Thx

“ Do not include a leading zero when gridding in decimals. For example, if your answer is 2/3, you can grid 2/3, .666, or .667; however, 0.6, .66, and 0.67 would all be considered incorrect”

You can put a zero if it is 0.7, but not if the decimal is repeating. You should be fine, unless your answer wasn’t right at all of course!

OP, you can believe chesterchalupa or you can believe the official study guide from the company that actually creates and grades the test, and every other source.

“0.12 would also be incorrect. You should not have any leading zeros on a decimal number. (it will be marked wrong).” - http://mrsmichelmath.■■■■■■■■■■/uploads/3/7/4/1/37414495/sat_weekly_tip_13_grid-ins_michel.pdf

“ Zero - Marking an answer 0.4 instead of .4 will be considered wrong, which is an important thing to note when answering grid-in questions on the math section of the SAT.” - https://course-notes.org/test_prep/sat/math/introduction/special_rules_for_grid_ins

Your choice.

Hey all, I just wanted to update this for other ppl who might also have the same question in the future. On my SAT there was a question which asked for the cosine of an angle which was 9/15. I bubbled in 0.6 and the question was marked correct. I believe if the decimal does not repeat like 0.6 then decimals are allowed. Just wanted to update anyone who might have similar concerns!

Lol I finally logged back into CC after not being on it for awhile. According to the OP, I guess I was more correct than the official study guide that creates and grades the test? All jokes though.
