So, first SAT i got 1440. Then, the second try, (with hard work) i got 1530. Then, third try (by completing 2 practice books Princeton: Cracking and this other book) i got 1640.

Is there a way to increase my score to 1800 or at least 1750?
I'm planning to take another test on November.

I got so mad, because i thought i'm gonna get 700-800 in writing, but because of the essay (8) i got 560, and i was really really mad.

Any recommendations? How do i raise my SAT essay score at least? Can you still receive a 10 or higher on essays, even if u use only personal experience?

Opinion why i get low score on the essay:
1. I always try to use books, even though it doesn't really fit into the prompt, although i know how to write essay in SAT format.
2. I'm not really good with structures.

Critical Reading: Read a lot of books and newspaper. You’ll be surprised on how fast your reading comprehension and vocabulary grows.

Math: Do as many practice SAT questions as you can and make sure you understand the solutions.

Writing: Essay isn’t critical to scoring high. I got a 9 essay only but 740 W because of Multiple choice. Read silverturtle’s guide religiously and do as many problems as you can to be exposed to every kind of sentence error imaginable.

for Sentence Completion the best thing to use to build your vocabulary is Direct Hits. It contains words that show up alot on the SAT, either in questions or as answer choices. So you can’t go wrong with that. You can buy it on amazon or you google it. Some persons have posted words from Direct hits online. For passages, I’m no t the best person to talk about that cuz thats where i fall down alot in.

Math: the only thing to do for math is to practice get a good math book, like Barron’s or Gruber’s and study the principles. When you have studied the principles get to practicing the only way to do well on the math is to practice.

Writing; the essays are a major factor inn score, because I know people who got 9 essays but 800. I got an 8 essay but my writing score was 670. So jsut get back to the basics. Study clauses, subject-verb agreement then gradually move your way up to the more complex material.
