SAT help!!!!

I need help to boost my writing scores into the high 600s

I've been getting at least 8 questions wrong on my SAT writing practice tests from the official guide and I really want to get fewer questions wrong.

Let me break this down:
Improving sentences-I get at least 1-3 mistakes out of 25
Identifying Sentence Error- I get at least 5-7 mistakes out of 18
Improving paragraphs: I get at least 1-3 mistakes out of 6

What should I do to get fewer mistakes on the Identifying Error questions?
Any book suggestions? Tips?

I have heard much praise about the Barron’s SAT Critical Reading Workbook, although I personally just stuck with the BB.

oh, I had already used that along with McGraw Hill’s, but almost finish exhausting the Princeton’s Review.

I received a 730 on the SAT, but that was in 7th grade, so I’m not sure if I’m qualified to help…However, what I did/do was read A LOT. You kind of learn proper grammar through osmosis that way. For a faster fix, you should first narrow down your problem. On problems you have trouble with, do you think all the answers seem correct? Do they all seem wrong? Does the original sentence just appear to be correct? Do you leave the answer blank? Are you taking wild guesses? Then go from there. A sort of cure-all is to identify common SAT tricks. I would recommend The Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar by Erica L Meltzer. It can be a bit dry (and almost long-winded) but it contains good tricks and advice and is overall helpful. Hope this isn’t too late!

thanks for the help though. i had already gotten 197 on my psat(71m, 59cr, 67w)…
i’m just waiting for my jan sat score :)
