Okay, so my SAT test is next weekend exactly 7 days from now. Anyone have some advice on how I can get my score higher this time. I've been studying all summer, but I want to secure a higher score from before. Anything helps.

For Critical Reading:
I took practice CR sections one at a time on the Official SAT Study Guide and after each single section I reviewed my correct and wrong answers to understand why the correct answer is correct. I also marked line numbers from questions on the passage so I could go answer the question at that part. For the sentence completions, I did NOT memorize vocab from Direct Hits or any other book but I just practiced the SAT CR sections and learned those vocab. I also learned strategies (compare and contrast different parts of the sentence, definition of a word in the sentence, etc) to determine what kind of word the sentence completion wanted.

For Math:
I just practiced and made sure not to make stupid mistakes. I think you should just practice the math sections from the Blue book to improve.

For Writing (Multiple Choice):
I didn’t use a grammar guide but people like Silverturtle’s guide on this website so I would recommend it. Otherwise, I just practiced the multiple choice sections of writing on the Blue Book and made sure to learn the grammar rules from the questions I got wrong.

For Writing (Essay):
I brainstormed my thesis and examples in a minute and started to write. I did mention my examples in the introduction along with my thesis. I connected my topic sentences back to my thesis and I made sure NOT to give too much background information on my examples but to show how they tied into the thesis. I also liked to use a counterargument by showing what would have happened if the opposite thing would have happened (this doesn’t work for all prompts but the prompts that ask questions such as if knowledge can be a burden rather than a benefit). My conclusion was basically a restatement of my thesis with my main points. This should help you get at least a 10/12 on the essay.

For everything, just keep on practicing.
