SAT I and SAT II vs ACT w/ Writing for Common App?

For most of the colleges I'm applying to, I can choose which scores I want to send to them. However, for two, I need to report all SAT I and SAT II or ACT w/ Writing. I haven't taken the SAT II (and don't plan on it), but I automatically sent my SAT scores to one of the colleges that requires all scores before I found out that I didn't do up to their standards...

My scores:
SAT I: (first date) CR 600, M 600, W 580; (second date) CR 590; M650, W 580
ACT: Comp 34, Reading 33, Math 34, Eng 33, Sci 34, Writing/Eng 30, Essay 8

And I automatically sent my SAT to the University of Pennsylvania. I don't intend on taking the SAT II... AP tests are enough for me, and I decided after I took the ACT w/ Writing that I was pretty much done with standardized testing

So:
1. For Common App, can I only self report my ACT and send in my official ACT scores? (every college I'm applying to is on Common App)
2. Am I going to have to contact UPenn and tell them that I can't really use my SAT because I didn't take the SAT II?
3. Also, I took the SAT I twice, so am I going to have to send the second date's scores in, even though I can't use the SAT scores for consideration to begin with?

Penn requires that you send all scores.

This means that even if you don’t have subject tests to accompany your SAT, you still have to send the SAT test to the college. In addition, if you take further SAT tests (i.e. more than once), you have to send those scores in as well, even if you want the emphasis to be on your ACT. With Penn, and schools with similar policies, that is the danger of taking the SAT and ACT without gauging first which one you’re more competent at.

Okay. What confused me is that they give the option of submitting SAT I and SAT II OR ACT w/ Writing, and I don’t meet the SAT requirements. I want to use my ACT, and I wasn’t sure if I had to finish sending all of my SAT’s even if I couldn’t use them and/or if they would just “ignore” the SAT for that reason.

Hmm… This is strange. I am not the authority on this subject, but my understanding is that Penn requires that applicants submit ALL materials.

I could be wrong, or this could have changed. Looking at their website ([Applying: Requirements and Process for Freshmen - Penn Admissions](http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/apply/freshman-admission/requirements-and-process)), the way it’s worded is ambiguous: “SAT and two SAT Subject Tests OR ACT Plus Writing.”

Possible courses of action:

 1. If you have any questions, you should never hesitate to call the admissions office.
 2. I would ask this question in the Penn thread, as that is a more appropriate outlet.
