I had three verbal sections and four math, so I know one of them was math. I did really, really bad on one math section though (section 5), and I thought about canceling my scores. However I thought about it more and I think section 5 was experimental. It was the one with the train times, the regular hexagon, the rectangle diagnoal question which I thought you needed to use Law of Sines/Cosines to solve for, and the question about possible combinations of interior/exterior car colors. So... am I right? Was it experimental?

I didn't have any duck picuture in mine, and I also didn't have any hyroglyphics in the math. I can't figure out for the life of me what section was experimental.

The Math Experimental had a square with four triangles problem in it according to other people.

The duck picture is experimental, I had that one.

i never had a duck ... was it the one with vaunt and penchant for answers?, but i know i had verbal as an experiment...

what is the one with 36 questions and 30 minutes? how is that not experimental? it had 2 short dual passages.

Did anyone have the math section described above? If your one verbal was experimental for you, do you recognize what I'm describing?

section 5 is in fact experimental. i did not have that but my friend did. i saw him working on it when i was doing a section. and i never had that problem... you probably did fine :D

Oh, and this post isn't just for my own benefit... everyone list what you thought your experimental was, and if there are supposed experimental ones described above, say whether you had it or not.

And I didn't have a duck picture, didn't have heiroglyphics... I don't remember a square w/ four triangles question either. Nor two short dual passages. Those are all very well experimental, it seems to me.

No I do not recognize your math section you are describing. I presume it is experimental. You're saved :)

I think that is experimental verbal also. My friend and I both had 4 verbal, but different verbal experimentals, he had that one.
You're saved :)

w00000000000000000000000000000000000t i left 5 or 6 blank on that one.

in that case, was the analogy with accolade and admonish and oaf and grace on that? or was that in the first verbal section? forgot.

Ahhh thanks amnesia! That makes me feel SO much better. I really didn't want to cancel cause I think I may have improved my Verbal. Anyway, thanks again!

Conclusion:

4 different types of experimentals, 2 for math, 2 for verbal

Verbal Experimentals

2 short dual passages w/ 36 questions in 30 minutes
Duck/Rabbit Picture in Illusion Passage

Math Experimentals

Square with 4 triangles
Hieroglyphics

How does that sound?

that sounds perfect. my experimental with 36 Qs had a t-rex thingy and a dean / marrian / caroline writing thing.

Thanks michael_pham too!

good luck girlx... report back here and post your score along with us, if you want, on december 15th. :D

Updated list of experimental sections (I'm adding mine):

Verbal Experimentals

2 short dual passages w/ 36 questions in 30 minutes
Duck/Rabbit Picture in Illusion Passage

Math Experimentals

Square with 4 triangles
Hieroglyphics
Interior/exterior car color combinations

wow...you all had completely different experimentals cept for the duck one....the hieroglyphic one was on the october sat1 also...i skipped that
