i was told by a friend that you are at a huge disadvantage if you retake the SAT I and end up getting a lower score than the first time.. is this true??

if you improve in any section i think it's worth it even if your overall score is lower since most colleges superscore but yea, my friend got a 2120 the first time and a 1990 the second time and went down in ever section so he's pretty ****ed

not according to what my guidance counselor says. He says only your highest score (either sitting or superscore, depending on school) counts.
