Sat I sentence completions

For some reason these always get me. I'm consistently missing 3 or 4 of these per test... :( I usually miss the hardest ones (near the end of each sentence completion group). Does anyone have any tips on how to get these right? I don't really feel an urge to memorize 1000s of vocab words just so I can raise my SAT score like 10 points heh, but if there are any shorter vocab lists, I guess I'll do 'em. Is there any other way to approach these stupid things though?

I share the same concern with nvision

process of elimination.

and i almost always choose the word that i've never seen before

I have this problem too. For me it's just a throw of the dice in hopes that I get words I know. The only way to get better at this is to work at it over time I guess.

I've gone through all of the problems in the blue book, but I don't know... sometimes on really hard ones, I know like 3 of the words in the answers heh...

And it seems like whenever I use process of elimination, I end up with 2 or 3 "possible" choices, and I always end up picking the wrong one :( out of those 2 or 3.

Yeah, on the hard ones, I can usually eliminate down to two, and then I start guessing.

at least you're native speakers...agghhh:)
