SAT I v SAT II

I'm a rising senior right now, and I was going to choose one test to take October. But I honestly don't know which one I should take and was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice.

I'm thinking about majoring in something related to chemistry, and I was worried that my SAT II Chem score was too weak, considering it's going to be my major.
I took it last year without taking AP Chem and received a 740. I'm currently enrolled in AP Chem right now.
So I was wondering if I should retake SAT II Chem in October in the hopes of raising it 770+.

But then for SAT I, I only took it in sophomore year, so it wasn't my very best. I have m800, r720, w780. I'm not saying that's not good or anything (don't get me wrong), but I was wondering if I could raise my reading score up a little bit. Since I took it 2 years ago, I was thinking that maybe I should give it a final try my senior year.

Someone please help. Any advice would be appreciated.

Take one in October and the other in November.

But I was going to do early action… so can we still take the November test??

Check with the college in question. My EA college accepts November tests.

You don’t need to retake either of those tests…

@"Erin’s Dad"‌ So a 740 for SAT II Chem is okay even if you are aiming to major in chemistry or ChemE? (Assuming I’m trying out for everyone’s so-called dream colleges)

From what I’ve read on these forums the colleges will be happy with anything >700. It’s a pure numbers game.
