SAT I Writing Curve

What is about 5/6 wrong (MC subscore) , + a 9/10 essay?

about a 680/690, i'd say

What are you basing this on?

well when I took it in June, I got a 9 essay and missed 7 and got a 660. So, I'd you missing 5 or 6 would be about 20 or 30 points higher.

are the blue book curves inflated then

I'm looking at two practice tests by the CB: the 2004-05 practice booklet and the 2005-06 booklet. According to the 2004 test, assuming you got a 12 on the essay, a raw score of 44 would still be an 800 and a raw score of 35 is a 700.

On the 2005 test, a 47 is the cutoff for an 800 while a 39 is the cutoff for a 700.

December Writing: 12/12 with 5 wrong = 700

So what do you guys think this year's writing curve will be?

Gosh...that curve seems HORRIBLE!
