Daughter 2008…

SAT writing 660/11 essay…she could not do the multiple choice if her life depended on it
ACT english 33/10 essay…

I hate the ACT its the worst test in the world.

SAT - 1490
ACT- 32

SAT Writing: 8 first time around (brought my 740 MC down to 710) but 11 second time around (brought my 740 MC- again - up to a 770)

ACT Writing: 10.

First time SAT: Essay: 9 Score: 660
First time ACT: Essay: 10 Score: 28 (Ugh. I got 7 q’s wrong…Harsh curve!)
Second time SAT: Essay: 11 Score: 670

I think the whole writing section should be removed from both and they should go back to the old SAT.

There are so many variables when they grade these tests and I keep hearing of so many inconsistency’s. Many good schools don’t even look at the writing scores or put much weight on them because of this.

ACT Essay is Horrible.

SAT - 750 (12 essay) DBQ Format.
ACT - 29 (10 essay) Random slop on a page.

SAT: 750 (Essay - 11)
ACT: 36 (Essay - 8)

It’s an odd result

The following are my best scores

SAT W: 800 (80 m/c 10E)
ACT English: 34 (33 combined with 10 E)

760/34

10/11

You really can’t do a comparable study without having knowledge on WHEN the test was taken.

650 (Sophomore Year)/34 (Junior Year)
10/11

SAT: 800
ACT: 36

Writing:
SAT: 11
ACT: 12

Yeah, I got lucky
But these are my second scores for both…
