SAT I Writing

Is it that Columbia will not look at the Writing portion of the SAT at ALL this year, or they'll look at it and not place much weight on it... Use it as maybe a means of breaking a tie between similar students?

Idk if anyone would even know this, but being that I got an 800, I'm rather curious... It doesn't make sense that we all have to sit through and essay and two sections of grammar if they won't even look at our Writing score.

Damn CollegeBoard.

It's basically the same as in the old days when you took the SAT II writing. SAT IIs are important, and everything is considered.

Okay, cool.

Because some people would act like the score is completely disregarded, which didn't really make sense to me.

No, just people I know, some friends.

MIT, for example, won't look at the writing score at all, I think. (I could be wrong though)
