I am planning to take the October SAT in my Senior year, after a nice long (fun) summer of prepping for it. However, I was looking through past W&M posts on this site and I found one by W&M admission about W&M not liking people "sitting on their scores". This was posted on a thread by someone who had pretty low SAT scores, was that the only reason why they posted it?
I expect to get a 1450+ in math / CR and 2200+ overall, would it be frowned upon that I didn't retake it?
Also is the October SAT early enough for the ED program?

Our general advise is that if you take the SAT and hit it out of the park on your first attempt, there is no need to take the test a second time. What the Committee may frown upon is students who receive a low score and “sit on it” (i.e. do not attempt the test one more time).

Generally we do receive October SAT scores in time to consider them during early decision review but we cannot promise that we will receive them on time. We advise students who are planning on applying ED to sit for a test prior to October of the senior year.
