So last time I took the SATs (May), I brought my old permit and my school ID. They said my school ID wasn't relevant because it didn't have my address on it, and my permit had a different address than my registration papers (I got my permit almost 2 years ago and moved 1 year ago). They almost didn't let me take it, but they let it slide.
However, now I have to take the subject tests in 2 days and I still don't have an ID that has my proper address! What if they don't let me take it? I don't really understand it, because people move all the time haha. But what documentation can I bring for a proper ID if neither of these will work?

Do you have a passport? If so, use that.

I do, but it has my old address on it too.

Any mail from a source like a bank statement? Maybe a paystub? I’m not sure if these will work, just brainstorming!

Hmm, yeah I’ll see if I can find some mail from the bank! Thanks! I think they’ll probably let it slide again because it’s at a different place this time… But it would stink if they didn’t, haha…

Can’t you get an ID sheet from the school? It needs to have your address, photo, and some other stuff on it. It needs to be signed either by a counsellor or a principal, and needs to have the school seal overlapping your picture. I read somewhere that the Collegeboard accepts that, but I’m not sure.

Also, if you registered then on your collegeboard account, there might be a registration ticket to print that you can upload a photo too. That’s what I’m doing for Saturday!

Yeah, I’m printing out my registration papers and photo, but I need an ID too. I’ll ask my counselor about an ID sheet, thanks!

Not waiting until the last minute, eh?

lool it is good to do it early

Here’s the ID Sheet you need to get the school to fill out: http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/sat_student_id_form.pdf

Haha yeah I’m kind of a procrastinator… Thanks!
