Well on the Princeton Website where they give admssion stats, they say...

SAT II Subject Tests
Applied--- 650-750
Admitted--- 700-780
Enrolled--- 690-770

Middle 50 percent of three highest SAT II Subject Tests.

What does this mean??? Can someone be kind enough to explain this to me???? I'm freaking out here because I'm (hopefully misinformingly) assuming that the top 25 percent of admits had an average of 780+ on their SAT IIs. Isn't this abnormally high?

this is very discouraging :(:(:(. so basically, internationals have to get 780+ on their sat iis to have a realistic chance at Princeton with a slight upper hand (in terms of test scores)???

Thats not true at all- (1) grades are more important, and (2) even those with perfect scores won't get in without some special achievements/recognition.

oh sorry-- forgot to elaborate. I'm a homeschooled international and Columbia requires 5 Sat IIs for such students. Perhaps now you can see why I dramatize the whole sat iis thing...

My home schooled son was admitted by Columbia last spring with only 4 SAT 2's. If your application is strong enough overall they won't hold it against you.
