I'm just wondering how the difficulty of the SparkNotes Tests (online) for SAT II Biology compares to the actual test. Are they fairly accurate?

I have taken two tests from SparkNotes- scored 700, 750.

Also - Any tips on preparing for the test?

I have already taken AP Biology (although we had more than half of Campbell's left to cover, eh), but honestly it seems like I forgot quite a bit of material. I'm using Barron's right now and will hopefully start using Princeton Review in conjunction. I'm hoping that will suffice...

In my experience they underestimated my score by 50-90 points. Tips for the test- well i took it my freshman year after honors bio and was kind of a tool, so i studied a lot and did a little more than 10 practice tests. Princeton Review had some really similar questions on it, so that will help. If you have time, actually read the book; it will probably jog your memory about topics you have forgotten.

I’m going to study my butt off this next week. I’m aiming for 700+, but know that it’s highly unlikely. I’m waiting for score verification to process my November 2010 subject test scores (lit and math 2), since they were really, really bad (630, 640, respectively).

less than a week away… oh god. Do you think there will be lots of questions of Na/K channels and hormones? I haven’t really studied those topics in depth, but I think I’m good for everything else.

^above terms are all relative-you have to compare it to something else

For example, if a 0.9% NaCl cell is submerged in 30% NaCl solution, the solution would be hypertonic to the cell. The would shrivel up because water is trying to reach an equilibrium by moving towards where NaCl is in high concentrations.
