So how did you guys all do?
I don't really know what to expect, but I thought there were some pretty wierd questions (i.e. albino thing....)

Albino question was basic Mendelian heritance, not very difficult. Unless you mean the question about the relationship between the albino plant and the normal plant, which I seriously had to guess.

Also had trouble with the question about which two characteristics probably evolved from each other. Had to guess, ended up taking the dog leg / whale fin. (Hope that's not saying too much for this forum...)

Eh, guys...we aren't really supposed to hint or discussion questions on the test...

I think I did rather poorly to be honest haha

^^^
is a pansy

who cares what u arent or are supposed to do

I think I did pretty well. There were only 3 that I had no idea what they were talking about.

i thought we could discuss... just once everyone has taken it.... right?

don't remember the albino plants.. can someone explain the albino i.tree thing?

cna we talk about real questions and answers we remembr? cmon guys make this forum useful!

for the albino i put parasitic....because it was eating the other tree or something

haha the albino plant thing eating, i skipped that one. I would think parasitic, but it isn't a worm or anything.

haha i meant the albino inheritance tree thing.... for some reason i could not figure it out!! can anyone explain?

It was actually a lot easier than I expected; it was DEFINETLY easier than the Kaplan review/diagnostic tests. Fortunately most of the questions were in the scope of the easier/simpler parts of bio (None of that incredibly minute/detailed stuff like sarcomeres and what not). I left 5 blank, which I guess is OKAY (I'm shooting for at least a 700). I took the Biology M test and thought it was relativity easy/somewhat medium.

Just one question: Does 28 days count as monthly? Blah, I think I blew that menstruation question (I thought it was the endometrium answer). Stupid me :(

what was the thing the first question i think, whee it asked what organ the snake used for breathing but the frog didn't, or something like that

Oh I thought that was pretty simple, do you remember the question. You just had to do like do the cross thing with the parents.

bannana_girl - Yeah, that one tricked me as well. I'm not sure what the answer was, but I guessed that the frog uses its skin for gas exchange or something like that. I think I'm wrong though :(

actually, i think you were right. frogs actually do use their skin for breathing and for retaining water too. after all, the skin is the body's biggest organ. haha sounds corny now. anyway yeah thats what i put.

ya i put skin as well and i just looked it up so it seems right!!!! YAY! for us!

We should start like a list of questions and answers liek theyd done before..

SO number one,
frog uses for gas exhange and snake doesnt....skin

wait was the frog and snake question the first question of the entire test? for some reason i'm not remembering that question...

yes the very first question

Yeah, I was thinking skin because it seems frogs are often in wet/swampay areas and tend to have a slippery-ish skin. I knew that the skin was a really big part of a snake, so that was the only thing that caused me to hesitate (But the skin seems to scaly/hard that I wouldn't think that gas exchange would occur there...but who knows!).

What about the menstruation one? What is normal for female menstruation (something like that)? Was it that it occurs monthly or that the endometrium sloughs off if nothing attaches to it?

i put that the endometrium sloughs off if nothing attaches to it, but i'm not sure if that's right. i narrowed it down to the monthly thing and the endometrium
