Hey have any of you taken the BIO Sat 2 exam?

Can any1 suggest which book to use to prepare for it?
Im down to Kaplan vs. PR

I know this isnt the right forum for this but Im not getting any responses on the SAT forum and you guys are usually very helpful.

THanks

i took it and used princeton review...ift is good but could be a little more comprehensive as the test had slightly more and different material.

I used pr and got a 720. This being CC, I don't know if you consider that good, but whatever.

lol!! i never took it, but i bought the sparknotes book. it seems good.

lol i know what you mean but 720 is really good at least to me

Princeton Review = 750

I'm taking AP Bio this year and only had first semester under my belt, so I was frantically studying all about glands and body systems and the like (the night before, mind you).

Ah well, it all worked out for the better, I guess.

i used the best test preparation book for the sat II Bio E/M
seriously, that's what it's called.
no i wasn't sucked in by a gimmicky title, it had the most practice tests and notes out of all that my book store offered. however, i ended up not studying a lot until two days before the test. where i took a practice test on sparknotes and then studied what they said my weaknesses were.

i got a 730. not amazing, but the best out of my school for the past 2 years.

barron's is the most comprehensive, pr the most accurate. kaplan's is not really worth it, but i guess it's good also. it's just weird. so i suggest reviewing from barron's and testing from both pr and barron's.

I used AP review, didn't really do specific SAT II study, but I would say the Princeton Review is better.

ok thanks to every1

now hang on.. that's not fair. I want to throw my two cents worth in there!! lol

I used kaplan my freshman year and pulled off a 700 (I know... its bad, but I was a freshman in a bio course that didn't teach literally half the material covered, I checked... HALF THE MATERIAL).

Right so this post was useless.. haha

Yea, well, I was in a class that taught approx. 1/4th of the material and even that was badly. 770. So nyah.

lol. Yea, that post was worthless too.

I used Barrons because I liked the format the best. It really bothered me that the Kaplan had so much space on the side and all the text was shoved toward the binding. Most of the books are good (especially PR, Kaplan and Barrons) so it's mostly just personal preference. Go with what is best for you.

Use the Cliffs Notes AP Bio. prep book for SAT2. I took BioM and scored 760
