Ok, so I am stuck in dilemma here. I am a rising junior and was planning to SAT 2 BIO this year. But because of SAT(which I plan to take this year) and APUSH, I do not think I would be able to focus on sat2 Bio. Now, I think I will be taking AP Bio as a senior. Should I take SAT2 Bio as a senior or as a junior?
Are you taking regular bio this year? If so, you should have time to study for the SAT II Bio. If you’re not, focus on the SAT this year and see if you can finish retaking it by senior year, and then study for the subject test in addition to your AP class and take the exam in October/November.
ohh I am taking Physics this year
Ok, I took the SAT II Bio and got 640 for Molecular. Taking the SAT II was a pre-requisite for AP Biology for my school and you needed at least 600 to get in. (The school only takes a handful of people). The thing why I suffered is that I forgot that skipping the questions doesn’t result into a penalty. I used Barron’s and attended my school’s SAT II Bio prep, who was my Biology teacher. The thing is that her prep was more like here are the notes, if you have a question please ask me, and an hour later, we would all leave. I usually took Barron’s and PR practice tests and got the range of 750-780 but that test was like what (the highest for my year was 700 for E and 730 for M. If you are in Junior Year, you should take the SAT II around October or December, because you also need to prep for the SAT. Or you can take the Bio one on the first month it is administered for your Senior year.
