my friend is a junior and is debating whether or not to take the SAT II Biology, but he heard from a few sources that SAT II Biology isnt wanted at many top 25 schools and those schools prefer chemistry or physics. Does anyone know anything about this? I know MIT prefers chemistry/physics but any other schools?

please help =D bump

I don't think most schools care, and that would especially be the case for people who aren't committed to science; chem and physics have some math content, bio does not, as long as a math SAT II is also submitted, that's covered (and some schools do require or strongly recommend submission of a math SAT II). The key is to take SAT IIs that you have the best chance of doing well on and that also present a decent variety of subject matter. (Both my chidlren used the Bio as one of their SAT IIs and both were admitted to excellent schools that fit your "top 25" definition.)
