SAT II Biology: M or E???

Which one is generally easier??? I heard Ecology was, but I don't know.

Is the test itself difficult?? I took the PR practice test and got a 750, do you think that's a realistic score??

800 in M is 98th percentile whereas in E 800 is 99th. It isn't much of a difference; both are about the same. Just do the one you would feel more confident with.

Personally I don't like PR books - their tests tend to be either too easy or off the mark from the real thing.

I've heard the E curve is more generous? Can someone verify that?

I took the M, I got a 740. but then again I just never was really comfortable with ecology as a whole. PR isnt that realistic, I got consistant 770-790 on those.

I got constant 750 on PR test and got a 710 on Bio M! How uncanny.

so which book do u recommend fr bio?

PR isn't any good.
Barron's is OK, except there's too much information and you won't need half of it.

I took my SAT II Bio M 2 days before my AP Bio. I had been reviewing with the Cliffs AP book and I found that I didn't need to make any extra preparations for the SAT II. Yeah, there's a section on drugs that doesn't come up in AP but does in SAT II, but I knew that stuff off by heart anyway. lol.

Could somebody please post the curves for the M and E test? Thanks!

It depends on the version of the test. The test on the real subject test book had a curve where 73-80 raw score was an 800.

Is that the usual curve? I know it depends on the test, but shouldn't it be relatively close from test to test?

I got a 740 on the E one, i thought it was much easier.

It depends on the version of the test. The test on the real subject test book had a curve where 73-80 raw score was an 800.

are you serious? from what I've heard around this board, you can only miss 1-2 to get an 800...

It depends on the difficulty of the test. So maybe if you omit 1-2 you can still get an 800.

Which one is it lol?
