SAT II Biology May 2009 Discussion

1 more question and i swear i’m done:

On the E section, was total amount of energy levels in the food web 4?

Exactly. They packaged proteins. Lol.

golgi adds protein onto the glucose = glycoproteins.

plasmodesmata connects plant cells.
Did anyone get the linked genes on a chromosome question. What was the answer?

I took the SAT II literature today, it was hard as *****

linked gene should’ve been II only i believe. They are on the same chromosome? (not sure). Can’t be crossed over b/c linked genes (my train of thought).

novalord2, I said 5: plant (primary producer), mice (primary consumer), snake (secondary), weasel (tertiary), eagle (quaternary)

what did you say for the cyanide-producing plant?

wait what exactly was the linked genes question??.. i cant seem to remember it…

Blood Plasma moves material?

Also, retroviruses, reverse transcriptase – stuff easy on M

Linked genes was I and II. I think they can be recombined with crossing over…

yea blood plasma moves material.
red blood cells carry oxygen. white blood cells fight infection. platelets repair stuff…
those 4 questions in the beginnning were soo easy.

oh haha ap bio really helped on those virus questions on the end of M.

ohhh now i remember that linked genes one. yea i think it was i and ii too

how about the question about wat contributes to most of the Oxygen in photosythesis? was it CO2 or H2O???

what on earth was happening to plant I that had 24 hrs of darkness? was there any calvin cycle or photosynthesis going on?

I put that only respiration was going on.

CO2 10 char

okay good, i thought respiration as well.

does anyone know the cyanide producing plant question on E?

haha i thought bio was pretty hard today… it really was nothing like the 6 practice tests i took from barrons, CB, and sparknotes.

the lab questions were the killers.

Temp the dependent variable?

i thought h2o contributes most of the oxygen… cus water splits and o2 is released…
and yeah respiration for plant in darkness
