generally, is the Biology SAT II or the Chemistry SAT II easier? I know it has a lot to do with what you like and are good at, but which is usually considered easier?

Thanks

What class did you do better in? Also if you want info on it check CollegeBoard.com and take the practice for each. You can also sign up for more then one test.

I took Ap bio last year, and took the sat II exam one month after ap's...I got a 770 without any studying...

Depends on your abilities and also the test/ curve that year. I took the Bio M in 9th grade and got a 750 and the Chem in 10th and got a 780. so i'll say chem... I think the curve is better

aren`t their two different types of tests for the SAT Biology Subject Test?

yea there's ecology and molecular. You chose which one on test day. Generally, people consider the sat biology the easiest out of the 3 sciences (bio, chem, physics). I think this is because its more straightforward so if you know ur stuff, it should be a breeze. Chem i think is quite a bit harder because the subject itself is much harder than bio.

what`s the difference between ecology and molecular?

ecology focuses on things on a more basic ecological look. more things on darwin and ecology. molecular focuses more in depth. you would need to know the individual steps of the individual steps of the electron transport chain for example, but for the e version you need to know how the electron transport chain works and what results from it but you dont need to know as much detail. i think that you should take the E version if you took honors or ae bio as a freshman or sophmore, and you should take the M version if you took AP advanced bio. One or the other doesnt look better, it still SAT2 Bio, they just give you 2 versions so you can pick what version you think that you will be better suited for

it really depends on what you're better in. biology is more rote memorization, while chemistry is more mathematic/analytical. chemistry probably has a better curve, but if you're stronger in biology i'd go with that. as for molecular vs. ecological, from what i hear ecology is easier. however, i also hear that most people spend more time on material covered in the molecular section, so take your pick. maybe take a practice test in both and see which you do better on (make sure you take tests from the same company though; certain companies' practice tests are more difficult than others')

dis is how it goes..if u like memorizing..go fo bio. If you are good at math..chem's your test. Chemistry has a better curve thsn Bio...Bio isnt difficult but just the things you gotta memorize...annoying. Chemistry is look over your class notes and you are set...in my opinon

I took the sample questions for SAT II Bio and Chem on collegeboard.com. And on the Bio I got all but 2 right. The thing is I got them right from remembering information from when I was in 9th grade. So, I imagine that the sample questions on the site are not accurate. Are the actual test questions really that easy?

some advice please.......

bio m and chem are pretty similar. I got 710 on biom in 9th grade and 700 chem in 10th with really no extra prep cept my participation in NJ Science League. The thing that is weird about chem are those TTCF ones, which if you get only 1 part of it wrong the whole thing is wrong. So watch out for that.

well does anyone know if the collegeboard sample questions are similar to the difficulty level of the actual SAT II Bio questions?

come on plz......

no they are a lot easier. princeton review had a lot of questions that i had on the test word for word

nd32k3, did you take AP bio before yout took the SATII Bio?
