I am planning to study for SAT Biology, however I am not sure if it is the right time for an average(yet sincere) person like me. I want to take the test in June and its already January, so I want to know if that is enough time to study. Coming from a different country this year, I was totally foreign to all the test taking , SAT, college applications etc, but gradually I am getting to know. I aim at getting atleast a 720 or so and I would like to know which prep book would be the best. Many say that the CliffsAP is great, but I am not sure because I think there’s a huge difference between the AP and the SAT II exam. Any suggestions? Thank you
I recommend Barron’s. It’s working wonders for me right now.
Testing in June will allow for ample studying. If you do use Barron’s, take it at a steady pace because there is a lot of material - perhaps 1-2 chapters/week (14 chapters total). Other than that, do a lot of practice exams in test-like environments.
Good luck Btw, have you taken AP Bio or Honors Bio?
@orjioke33 Thanks for the suggestion! And no I am not taking honors bio, I am taking college prep bio and my teacher said that you can still do well on the SAT IIs
I think you should use Cracking the SAT II Bio. It works well for me. I’m a foreigner, and got 800 at SAT 2 Bio.
You should go to ■■■■■■■■■■■■, there are many preparation material here.
And especially for foreigners, you should try to learn speciallize biology vocab. I recommend the Glossary List at SparkNote.
Good luck
@thewindisblowing Thanks!
