What does the curve look like on the test? I've heard it's tough - approximately how many RAW points (so after deductions for wrong answers) would one need to score an 800?

My S is taking the AP Chem test on Monday and the SAT II Chem in June, so I’d be interested in hearing how the 2 compare.

C’mon, I know someone knows this…

Since the curves are never released, we don’t really know.

It is however rumored to be around 82/83 out of 85.

However, some tests are lower, possibly (but probably unlikely) 79-81

Princeton Review’s 2011-12 SAT chem book sets the curve at 79/85 as the minimum raw score for an 800, which means you can afford to get 4ish wrong.

I just took the test a few hours ago (it’s already Saturday afternoon for me)! Answered every question but had 5 where I made educated guesses … we’ll see where the curve puts me this year. =)

yikes. I skipped NINE! My pacing was screwed up. That puts me at 76 already.

Cancel?

^ Nah, I wouldn’'t cancel it. See what you get and retake it if necessary.

Didn’t skip any…I thought it was easy
