I am a rising senior and i am going to study four months until the november SAT test for Chem. What books did the 750+ scorers use. I was also wondering whether i should read an AP prep book(for example barrons) to prepare for the Chem SAT II. Also, is chemistry as hard as biology cuz i heard that the questions in biology are tricky.

I got a 760. I didn't prep, but my friend, who got a 780, says that PR is the way to go.

There have been so many threads on this recently. Why is Chem so popular all of a sudden?

PR + SN is the way to go.

or barrons + PR.

use PR for review, and use barrons to reinforce it. SN for practice tests too..

I studied from PR and felt very prepared going into the test.

i used some of boths, but i used the big CB book of subject tests to see what i needed to focus on first... so that i wouldn't waste time review stuff i knew cold. watch out for the T/F/CE types!!!

i used took two tests in the Kaplan book, but i didn't read their summary. the Kaplan tests are harder than the real test. i got a 650 on the Kaplan test, and 800 on the real SAT 2.

i got a 780 in june and i didn't really use any prep book other than barrons ap chem (because i took AP chem in may).

I got 800 by reading Princeton and Kaplan from the library.
