Does anyone have any experience taking the SAT II Chem test without using a test prep book? I'm taking it early next year, so I borrowed a textbook from my teacher to use until then. Will this be enough?

My only concern other than proper coverage of materials is a lack of practice tests... is there anywhere I could get practice tests without a prep book?

Thanks.

Hi!
I took the SAT II Chem test in May without buying a prep book. I think it depends on how well you already know the material. When I took it, I was in the middle of preparing for the AP Chem exam (after taking a year of AP Chem) and had taken honors chem the year before. I ended up with an 800 after doing the 3 free tests on Sparknotes.com (take advantage of those!) and doing one practice in my friend’s Barrons book. Good luck!

I did that in June with only my textbook. I still think I got 750+, Ill tell you in 2 days. If you have a good teacher, you can do well without prep book. I also took AP before the test.

I do feel like I know the material well, there’s a few topics I still need to cover but I feel confident. And I did have an excellent teacher this past year so I think I’ll be ok without a prep book. Thanks!

I used these web site free book for math 2 (got 770) and it was a good book,
try the chem book here
[SparkNotes: SAT Chemistry](http://www.sparknotes.com/testprep/books/sat2/chemistry/)
they have also a free test that you can take, I found the test ok, not that easy but not that hard.

I used this website for phy but I didn’t get my score yet
