They don't let you use a periodic table? That's a little ridiculous.. I know for the AP Stats test they give you bunch of the formulas unlabeled so you only have to be able to pick them out...

I took my Honors Chem course and got a 630 in june. I wouldn't recommend it unless you study.

there IS a periodic table

After honors chem = 620 w/o studying 4 the test
After AP chem = 760 w/o studying.

Todays test was pretty hard. Doesnt anyone else think so?

I took SAT II Chem in November without taking AP Chem and I didn't do too great (I took honors... did extremely well in the class) It's weird though, I scored 760-800 on PR practice tests but almost 100 points lower on the actual thing. I would really recommend taking AP before this, because all the people I know who'd taken AP Chem had no trouble with it at all.

Well, it makes sense that you would do alot better on the test after taking AP Chem... I mean, it is another entire year of the subject.

BTW-- How are you going to progress through science classes? For me, it's been Hon Bio, Hon Chem so far. I'm trying to decide whether I want to take AP Chem next year and then Hon Physics, or the other way around. If I take AP Chem next year, it would be right after having a year of Hon CHem, and that might be helpful. Any advice?
