SAT II Chemistry Retake?

Hello,

I took the SAT II Chemistry exam this past March and scored a 790. I am pretty confident that I can get an 800 if I retake it.

Is retaking it worth the time and effort?

Edit: Some background info - applying to "top schools" (although I only really care about MIT), double majoring in Math & Computer Science.

If you are fully capable of getting an 800 without studying, then go for it for satisfaction.

You will seem score obsessed if you retake. Colleges look at 750s and 800s equally, so ten points won’t make a difference.

I am on the same boat. I scored a 790 in Chem from the October administration. I want to retake it for personal satisfaction as I’m confident I can get an 800 this time around. Last administration I forgot there’s a penalty for guessing, and so I guessed for all of my tests! Plus, I am going to retake Math II anyway, so might as well pay $11 more to take Chem.

All I’m worried about now is how would colleges view this behavior? Would this hurt my admission chances? I am a junior and will apply to HYPSM and others in the same tier. Yale is definitely my number one choice.
Would the admission officers look down upon my perfectionist tendencies? If they do, would their attitude greatly affect my admission? As in I would have hypothetically gotten accepted if I were to leave my score like that?

I might sound conceited and scores-obsessed, but I am very sincere and serious so please respond nicely. The 790 seriously bothers me.
