Im a sophmore taking honors chemistry. I have a pretty high grade in that class, and I am wondering if i should take the chemistry sat test. some ppl said it was hard, and im not sure if i should take it. what do u think? how much do i have to prepare?

it has some elements of AP Chemistry (like kinetics, equilibrium, and thermodynamics) that u wouldnt ordinarily do in an honors classs...BUT if ur willing to work at the stuff u don't know between now and the test date...u should do fine

It depends on whether or not you are the type who can teach yourself well. I'm in your same situation, and while I thought that I might be ready for it with only honors chem, I took the practice test on college board and only missed 3 out of 13. The ones I missed were concepts I never even heard of, but once I read about them they weren't hard at all to grasp. I'm definitely more the math/science type of person, and if you are too, sign up and just get a practice book for it and study hard and you should do fine. I'm actually going to Borders to pick up a book today, there's one that has every SAT II subject possible, which I'll probably get cuz im also taking US History and Biology (not sure if E or M) on the same day.

which book are u getting? i might also want to get that book

I think erhswimming is talking about the CollegeBoard edition.
