SAT II Chemistry

Okay here is my probelm. I have the barron sat II chemistry book and i have been doing practice test on it but in all reality i think that some of those question just wont appear on the SAT Chem test. Is barron known to be harder than the actual test and does anyone else agree that some of those questions are a little far fetched?

Now my second question is it okay to practice previously administered AP chem mutiple choice as an alternative or is there a major difference in topics covered. I know that there is the t/f CE thing on the SAT II Chem thats not on AP Chem but, ill practice that seperately. To let you guys know i have the '99, '94, '89, and '84 AP Chem test.

bump bump bump

Barron's is too much. It goes into far more detail for certain topics than you need to know.

Barron's is much more fact-oriented than the actual. However some people find this easier (def. not me...). I personally find the PR much easier and more accurate. However, Barron's is a great study guide b/c it overpreps you and it's a great way to improve your PR and actual score.
For me, I started reviewing PR and got a 710 on the first test. Then I took a Barron's and got a 560 on the first one (... haha I don't know what happened). Then I reviewed all of Barron's twice and went back to take the PR again and I got a 780!! So, therefore you should def. study from Barron's. Use PR tests and the few days before, review PR because it has the necessities. Review the brute factual stuff you haven't memorized very well from Barron's.

At least from the AP test, I can say that while Barron's is a pain in the ass to read, it does a very good job of including the esoteric pieces that ETS loves to test. I've taken three tests in the Barron's so far and got 770, 800, 750, and I expect to do very well.

^ don't get overconfident. I was getting 800's on barrons, and got a 720 on the real thing last June...however, results may vary ;)

got like 700, 720 or so on barrons and got 760 on the real thing (made 2 stupid mistakes... so likely shoulda gotten higher)
