SAT II Chinese w/ Listening

last year, I took the Chinese subject test as a junior. I am not chinese, in fact chinese is my third language. I am aware that most of the kids who take this particular exam are native Chinese, and that almost all of them get 800. I was wondering what would be a "good" score for a person like me, regarding the fact that I have been studying Chinese for only 3 years now. I got 690 last November, and am considering taking it again because I realized that I'm wayyy below the average. haha.

what do you guys think? do you think it'd be good to take it again thi november and possibly raise a little more than 40-60 points?

If you can get it above 700, I’d say that it would be very impressive considering it isn’t your first language.

I agree seeing as you are not chinese you obviously would be at an disadvantage to those native speaking chinese students who speak it at home all the time. Thats my problem too, even though I am chinese, ive never really learned it and i never speak it so i wouldn’t score well on the SAT II (if i were taking it). 700+ would be good and 750+ would be amazing. good luck

soobin, im amazed that you can do so well on the chinese test! considering that it’s your third language, you’re probably half genius or something
im actually a native speaking chinese, who’s going to take the test this nov. but i’ve never even seen what the test looks like…perhaps someone could tell me about it?
thanks
