I'm preparing for the december test with Barron's and Rea sat ii french and I wonder how accurate are those tests because Rea seems much easier than Barron's especially the readings. Are there on the real test excerpts from, let's say,Voltaire or Guy de Maupassant?

bump bump bump

the real thing seemed significantly harder than both barrons and 22 reals, but i think the curve must have been better than both, coz i expected 740-770 and got 800.

I studied with Barron's and it didn't seem to help much. It didn't cover the material in the real test. There was a lot of extra/unnecessary stuff. However, I took the practice test in the Real SAT II thing and got pretty much the same score I received on the actual test.

Definitely buy the Princeton Review book. It's easily the most accurate in terms of formatting and material covered. It has a good review section but I definitely bought it for the two practice tests in the back. I got a 780.

I'm studying with barron's too... what kind of things are on the actual test that aren't covered in barrons?

more comments on the real sat ii french?!

Barron's: the reading sections in the real test were so much harder.
The vocab was pretty different too. The words that Barron's emphasizes don't match up very well with the kind of words that are tested. The grammar review may have helped, but it covers too much, the test doesn't cover that much.

Are there many tense agreement questions on the grammar part? I hate them! :)

My favorite is the futur ant

Definitely get Princeton Review. It's hands down the most accurate and well formatted. I got an 800 (on the practices I got a 770 and a 780).

how hard is the french sat2 exam?
i've won the french award for my class two years in a row and honestly, i'm expecting it for the next two, as well. (this isn't me bragging, it's just that the junior french students aren't that smart and there are only maybe 15 students in the class)
i've always made A's but i don't know if i should take them or not.
so...how hard is it?
