SAT II German preperation

Do you guys have any idea which SAT prep book should I get in order to do well at the exam ?

It seems to me that there isn't much to choose from as the test is not that popular with students.Feel free to give me any advice.I'm about to sit the exam on November 6th and still haven't got down to work.

P.S. I have seen the College Board SAT II book which has all the subjects in it.Don't know if it's helpful.

Hey.

First off, what score are you aiming for?

Secondly, how much German do you know? I took this test last June, but I didn’t study aside from the practice test I took from the CB book. If you are B2 or higher on the European language standard, you shouldn’t have a problem getting 700+.

Otherwise, I’m not sure there are very many resources to help you with the test. So I would say take the practice test from the CB book and see how well you do, and how you feel about it. Reviewing the grammar topics that appear in the practice test is helpful, and so is having a good vocabulary and idiom base.

Don’t want it to sound unrealistic but… I’m aiming for the best score possible (800).As for my level of German - I have studied it for 3 yrs at school (5th,6th,7th grade).Plus,I have attended German courses for the next 3 years. My current level of German is B2.2
Right now,I’m a bit out of practice, though.Haven’t studied German for about half an year.soo…yeah.

What do you mean by the practice test from the CB book? Are you talking about the CB Subject Tests edition which has all the 20 tests?

German is difficult (actually all the language tests are difficult) for nonnative speakers b/c all the native speakers taking it lower the curve by a lot.

Also, is there any online material at all to prep for German? Anyone who’s taken the test before-- how did you guys go about it? I’m taking the test in November so I have a little more time, and I honestly don’t think it should be too difficult, but can’t hurt making sure, I guess.

@Ubiquitous1100 At B2.2 you can probably get a 800. Just make sure you are strong on grammar and vocabulary. I’m pretty much reiterating what I said, but other than that and taking the practice test (or tests, make sure to take the listening one too for practice) in the CB book, I’m not sure what other advice I can give.

Yes, I am talking about the book with the 20 Subject Tests. CB is short for CollegeBoard.

@count08 Unfortunately, I didn’t find any that were actually helpful. I went through and printed summaries of grammar, but that was about it. Sorry I’m not much help, maybe someone else will come along and help you.

Apart from the CB Subject tests book - are there any other listening exercises available?
