SAT II Languages: With or without listening?

I don't really understand why listening is only offered in November. I know what the section is like, what types of questions they are, but is one type of test preferred over the other? Is listening looked upon more highly? Or is it just there for a lot of native speakers and listeners to capitalize on? Any feedback would be appreciated, as I am currently trying to map out my SAT II subject tests, and I need to decide if I should wait for November for the Chinese with listening, or just take it earlier and use November as my retake month for other SAT IIs.

bump..............

Bump!!!!!!!

I don't think it matters, really...but I think if you totally know the language, then why not and show off? I think that is the purpose of the one with listening, to show that you are a native speaker of the language. If you know Chinese, then why not?

is there a chinese sat ii that doesn't include listening? i thought chinese was just offered once a year... or maybe things have changed since i took it?

nope only offered with listening
