Hi everyone I'm just starting to study for my math and chemistry SAT IIs.
I took a practice test for chemistry and math (my first) and they were both 650.
Is it possible to raise them to an 800 by May 2008?

^be nice.
OP, it's definitely possible for you to get 800 on both tests. Get a good prep book - Chem: Barron's / Math lvl 2: I used Barron's but too much info. If you have good course notes to review, you don't even need those prep books.

im a soph and im taking honors chem. im planning on taking the sat2 subject test for it in june. is it possible to do well if i start studying now, even though we didnt cover all the topics? my teacher didnt say anything about review for it

^Is the class designed / or recommended for taking sat II chem? I suggest getting a prep book, or if you can discern which topics were not covered in the class, you can look study through textbook. You have more than enough time to prepare for it since you are taking it in June (plus class).

do lOTS of problems. go to ur library and check out the books and do the problems.

yea it is designed for taking the SAT II chem. the only problem is that my teacher didnt mention anything about starting review by getting a prep book or anything..so i just wanted to know whether i should take matters into my hands

uhh of course! :)

I haven't taken the Chem test yet, so can't give advise there.
But as far as Math II, use Barrons for its tests, and Sparknotes/Kaplan for concepts/review.
And if you really want to be strict on your title, then the ONE book I would reccommend is Barrons (use Sparknotes Online Book for concepts).

are you taking AP Chem?

I took AP Chem last year in May, then took SAT Chem in June - definitely a good idea; the info was fresh in my mind and I didn't do much studying at all. AP = 5, SAT = 800.
