I’m interested in applying to Wharton, but my SAT II Math is only a 730.
I have, however, received a 750 on my SAT I Math (even though I just skipped 1 question), and a 5 on my AP Calc AB Exam.
Would these perhaps offset the slightly low SAT II Math score? I’d rather not retake it.
A 730 isn’t bad. Your CR score on SAT I is more of an issue.
Of course, I am aware of that. I’m doing prep to bring that up. I was just wondering about the Math.
Your SAT II math II score is in the 62nd percentile so if you have the time to study for it, you might consider a retake. UPenn just announced that subject tests are recommended but not required so you can choose to do what you want with this information. Personally, I think kids should continue to send in subject test scores unless they are impoverished. Good luck!
@Falcon1 Ok thank you! I’ll try to retake, but I may not be able to afford another, especially with an SAT retake.
Also, I just thought that Ivies don’t look at percentiles as Gibby said here?

Thanks again!
No, they don’t look at percentiles but it means that there are a whole lot of scores above you. In particular, kids who apply to Wharton typically have Math II scores around 800. Only you can decide if you have time for a retake and whether you think it is worth it or not. It’s only one data point in a long list of items that go into making a decision.
I got into Wharton this year with a 780 in Math Level II and a 750 on SAT Math. What I’d recommend is retaking ML2, since it’s the best way to demonstrate your higher-level math knowledge to Wharton. A 5 on AP Calc AB is good, but retaking the subject test definitely won’t hurt.
