SAT II Math I Discussion

Thoughts? Scores?

720 left 2 black and probibly got a few wrong

-plane question with p, q, r: what was the @#$ answer…

Does anyone remember what they put for the problem that asked for the double root? I just guessed letter “A”. Is there any hope that I got it right?

letter A was the right answer, it was -8.49

can you explain the p q r one? i think i put C, something having to do with line l being parallel to P and R

That was a tough problem, although I’m pretty sure I got it right. It wasn’t A or B, and C was wrong too since it doesn’t have to be parallel for it to only intersect one segment (PQ). I put D, the answer was something like It’s not parallel to PR. I’m about 95% sure that’s right.

ya i thought it was -8.49 (a) but i omitted, i had no clue what a double root was

If it’s seriously A then I may have gotten an 800, that’s the only guess I had.

i sent like 3 min on that question. 100% the answer is A

what was the question about the circle (x^2+y^2=8 i think)? I think it had a slope of 0?

and was there an answer that was 3.14?

Charlie Brown, they just wanted a coordinate. It turned out to be ( Sq. Root of 8, 0).

im pretty sure the p q r one was the answer where it had to be parallel… right?

It was possible for C (the parallel one) to be incorrect…I picked D, the statement which said that the other 2 lines had to be nonparallel.

oh well i got p q r wrong… and skipped like 4 questions. :frowning: guess i’ll have to start preparing for math II in november

Is a 48 raw score (I omitted two and hopefully didn’t get any wrong) really a 770 most times?

I only make it through 30 questions on practice tests (in the hour), but I made it through a good 40-45. It was really easy.

What did you guys get for the cylinder? It was asking for the farthest point. I found the diagonal and answered B, however, a friend use pythag and got 42. I am leaning towards the latter.

for the question about P,Q, & R, I put E. i was really stuck between D or E but i guess the former wasn’t always true. Did anyone else do the same?

I remember putting that they run parallel. Which… they do. That was either D/E.

I think the question was that line PQ did not intersect line L but that line RQ did … i don’t get how they must be parallel. did i miss something in the question? i usually do >_<
