SAT II Math II REQUIRED for UC's??

I signed up for the Math I in november..
but as i go through my UC online application today
on the page of the report test scores..
for the SAT II it would only accept Math II scores.
There is no place to put math I...

so does everyone applying to the UC have to take MATH II??

You don't have to take Math, but if you DO take Math, then it can only be 2c and not 1.

you can take any tests in two different disciplines, and you do not have to take the Math test. But, if you do take math, UC will not accept Math 1, so it must be Math 2 for admission purposes.

oh wow.. they did not tell that anywhere...
now I have to sign up for another SAT II course..

is it possible to change subjects? I don't know where to edit it..
right now I have for november:

MATH I C
Chinese with Listening

I never thought i would need math II because all of my majors arent engineering or any sciences..

danny:

once you sign up for the Subject tests, you can take anyone you want, as long as it is offered -- the Listening tests are not offered every test date. The subject test booklet contains all the subject tests, so you can take whichever ones you want. If you sign up for two, and then take 3, CB will bill you for the extra test. Or, you could sign up for two, and just take one. The other permutations are obvious.

UC's website is pretty clear that they no longer accept Math 1 effective with the matriculating class of 2006 (see link below); thier rationale is that the SATI math now covers Alg II. The requirement is two SAT Subject tests in different disciplines. Again, you do not need a math subject test -- you could take a science, history or Lit, for example.

btw: last testing date for UC apps is Dec.

Good luck.

Any UC page on Subject Tests has been quite clear on dropping the Math 1 for at least the last year. Sorry that you missed it. You should be able to do OK on the Math 2.
