How much harder is the SAT II math IIC than the regular math SAT reasoning section?

I would like to know if any studying will be required...i did well on the SAT reasoning math...but i really don't know how the SAT II math II is ....

Any info or stats (like your SAT and SAT II math scores) would be greatly appreciated...

The material covered is significantly different. It tests tougher math concepts, not tricky versions of easy math concepts like the SAT I math. You really should prep some for the Math IIc. To find out, pick up a copy of Real SAT IIs and take the sample test. There's only one real SAT II sample test for each subject available, so if you really need to brush up, you'll have to find a prep book you like.

One thing to note, the score curve for the Math IIc is pretty generous. You can miss quite a few and still get a wicked good score.

The Math IIc has 50 questions. The one real sample test (in Real SAT IIs) equates raw scores as follows: (Raw score is # correct - 1/4 # wrong)
Raw Scaled
35 720
36 730
37 740
38 750
39 760
40 770
41 780
42 790
43-50 800

Remember that every test is curved slightly differently, and you can't equate SAT II scores with SAT I scores. A 720 on an SAT I is somewhere in the neighborhood of 98th percentile, but a 720 on the Math IIc is significantly lower (maybe 80th percentile? Anyonw know for sure?)
