So I just took the math level 2 sat subject test and thought it was pretty easy..but that may be because I was using barrons to prep. I feel like I fell for the college board's traps because I thought some of the questions were really really easy! Anyways what do you guys think the curve will be like? How many wrong and how many omitted to get an 800? I omitted 3 and I might have made a few careless mistakes but do you think I can get an 800?

Bump for emphasis.

It’s going to be standard curve. Nothing about this test was difficult compared to other Math II exams.
44 for 800.

I bombed. sob

As usual, it is a lot easier than the Barron’s practice test. I guess it will be a typical curve with up to -7 for 800.

I got a 780 on a Barron’s test. I have a feeling I’ll do worse on this. Test pressure…

RMIBstudent -
aww a 780 on a Barron’s test is great! You’ll probably get an 800!

So this test wasn’t easier than other tests? And we can safely label it an average Math Level 2 test? Thanks for the replies! It makes me feel much much better :)

Hershey: thanks…but I didn’t do well on the actual test. At all. I brain froze and couldn’t pace myself. This is really disheartening. But yeah, it’s probably -6 or -7, IMO. As much as I would wish it to be -8 lol.

^ Which test on Barron did you get 780? The last one is significantly more difficult.

The one with function where the F was changed into caps F was confusing b/c I thought it was a variable. Its a simple problem… its just dumb they put the F there.
Also the two spheres one is quite tricky.
what else… the similar cones, and cliff questions are fair–> time consumers though.
Box and whisker tricked some up.
Parametric problem, just put it in the calculator in RADIAN …i had mine in degrees and thought “***.” and lost my calmness.
The inverse function one that took up a page was poorly worded, but not impossible to figure out.
The polynomial with Ax^5+…+F was simple concept but probs forgotten by most.
99 pieces data and if one would be added was tricky because it said “DECREASE.”
Idk, using collegeboards “blue book” was ridiculously easy in comparison to this test, perfect 50/50 on both practice tests… So I feel a little betrayed b/c I did so poorly lolol xD
I think it will be at the average 6 wrong (43) = 800. I would like it to be 42 so I can have an 800… but w/e.

billcsho: the first one (not including the diagnostic).

It’s incredibly annoying when you come in and do horribly on the test, when you just did very well on harder practice tests at home. It’s horrifying.

haha I actually understand what you’re talking about! I usually do better on harder tests than on the easy ones!

Hershey12: yeah, I guess more practice tests and confidence would have helped.

I know this is just speculation, but…do you guys think it’ll be -6 or -7?

The last one in Barron is much more difficult than the other ones. So I guess one may get +50 points from the first practice in the real test but +100 points from the last practice test.

I highly doubt itll be -7 wrong (41) they might take out a question or two. Which annoys me because if that question was worded better or something ym score be better. but whatevs. 10-20 pts doesnt make a significant difference.

800 here :p

Personally thinking 43 on this, it felt harder than the 2nd official CB test from their book and that one had a curve of 43. Haven’t seen what past tests look like other than the CB book though so don’t have an accurate sense.

I hope you’re right and the curve is 43 :)) The more I think about the test I feel like I made a lot of careless mistakes! 19 more days until we find out!!

if it’s a 43 i’ll be the happiest person in the world haha! i omitted 2 and know i got 2 wrong but i probably made some other careless mistakes here and there…aish
