MIT's website says that there is no preference between math level 1 and 2, but I am taking calculus and I took level 1 anyways. My score was between 700 and <800. Is that going to negatively impact my application?

700-790 is a big range; what was the actual score?

If things are the way they used to be, MathII SATII was much easier to score higher due to the massive curve it had (6 wrong was an 800.) So a non-800 math I SATII score is more forgivable than a math II actually.

If someone gets a 760 in Math1 and a 770 in Math2, which one is better to send?

can a student take both the maths level 1&2, rather than combining the maths with physics or chemistry.

^No, a science subject test is required

@Anna, it truly doesn’t matter. You can send both, if you’d like. The SAT subject tests are only important to prove to admissions that you are capable of doing the rigorous course work that you will encounter once you are admitted to MIT. Once admissions sees high 700’s on your exams they will move on to other parts of your application that are much more important in their eyes.
