SAT II Math Level II: to take or not to take?

Hello everyone!
I know that for Yale, you need to take two SAT IIs. Right now, I am deciding between Biology, Literature, and Math Level II.
The reason I'm a bit edgy on Math II is that math is a subject that I need to study the most at to get a good score on, and right now, the work load is just so high that I am not sure I will get a good enough score.
However, if I take Literature and Biology, which are subjects that I genuinely am passionate about, I know that I will get a better score.
Should I take all three, or drop math? Will handing over SAT II scores for Biology and Literature only, and not Math, look bad to colleges?
I am an IB student, and am applying undecided.
Thanks!

It depends, many people are taking Math level 2, because its easy to get 800. For example, you need 43-44 right from 50 answers for 800. On bio or lit almost all questions.

Unless you’re applying to Engineering or marking that you want to major in math/physics/etc., it’s fine to take Lit & Bio.

Somewhere around the top 12% of Math II test takers get 800, so it would be a good thing to have! I also found the test really easy :P

I took three, and I’m sending in the best two. I think that’s the best way to go about it, where you don’t have to worry about it. If you don’t think you’re going to do well on the test, then don’t take it.

Emeral: The Yale admissions website says, “Please note: Yale does not participate in Score Choice. Therefore, you need to report to Yale the results of all SAT and SAT Subject Tests or all ACT tests that you have taken.”

This relates to something I’ve been interested in. Ar4ybaldik mentioned the curve on SAT II,

Because an 800 on Math II is much more common, do you think say, a 760 on Math II is less valuable than a 760 for Chemistry?

Check what percentiles those scores represent. You can find it on the College Board website.

How hard is the Maths 2 compared to the maths sections in the SAT? I can’t decide between Lit, World History, Spanish or Maths 2. I’m thinking of taking 3 Subject tests. Yet I’m not very comfortable with maths. What should I do?

Go to the CB website, you can see what topics that are covered and practice questions for the Math 2 Subject test.

Thanks, I will!
