***SAT II Math October 2016 Discussion Thread***

It probably is lhw1998; here’s a testimony from someone on the June 2015 (collegeboard reused this test for October 2016):

“I skipped 7 questions and I got at least one wrong (most likely 2) so I thought I got 750 wish, but apparently I got an 800 (yay). I just want to input that the curve is probably 41 for 800 because I could never have gotten an 800 with that many skipped. I skipped all the stats/probability questions, and there were a LOT of them.”

Man I got 3 omitted and one wrong, but idk maybe there will be other mistakes. I think I can achieve 800

I got 1001… but I think now that you’re right nooo

me too

I got 92 because wouldn’t it be 8C1+8C2+8C3?

ooohh me too!!

Me too – so the answer was only 1/x, right?

But it was shifted one to the left because it was (x+1)^3

I put 10 because that’s where the derivative hits zero, and also just the lowest point when you graph it

that’s right – if you graph it the graphs almost match up perfectly as well

@ThugLife13 I got 1910 or 1913 or something as well

Lol, just reading these comments I’m pretty sure I got a low 700 (730, 740) max, I should’ve studied cri. And for the people who were talking about math scores on psat/sat psat was ?/760 i think 740?? and sat was 800. Only good news from the sat 2’s is that I’m pretty sure I got 800 in physics :’)).

Considering that this test was the same as in june 2015, what do you think will be for the november or december ones

For the one about intersection of two spheres, what is the correct answer? So line and circles are intersection, but is sphere also an intersection?

@FueFueFue just point and circle.

Was the answer to the first question option E?

first question of the test?

@TMNTsqu yes

When do scores come out? Are they released on the same day that the regular SAT is? If so, that makes no sense… All they have to do is scan our multiple choice sheets :confused:

@lhw1998 Sadly, they are. October 27, I think.

I wish collegeboard would operate like the ACT and release multiple choice scores asap :frowning:
