I've never taken an SAT or any of the subcategories that are associated with it so I was just wondering if it is similar in any ways to the ACT Math Section. I am from the Midwest where the ACT is taken more often than the SAT. So on the June ACT I received a perfect 36 on the math section, but did not have too much time remaining. I will be enrolled in AP Calculus BC next year and I have never gotten a grade lower than an A in honors math. I am very confident in the subject and was just wondering if there are any main differences that I should be aware of before I register. Also, would it be worth it to take the SAT II United States History test even though I finished the class (and the AP test) last month? Are there any negative impacts to taking the SAT II and doing poorly which could compromise college admissions (like do you have to send both tests if taken on the same day)? Sorry for all the questions I am new to the whole SAT test and really appreciate the help.

bump…

SAT math II’s a little more advanced…they both test topics up to pre-calculus, as well as some introductory statistics. As long as you’re fluent in those subjects, you’ll be fine.

I found the subject test math harder, but the “curve” on math II is ridiculous, so you can still get an 800 with questions wrong

You should take sat 2 US and all tests you take on one day are grouped together.
